Somnium
The film’s visual language was shaped by dynamic gimbal-based cinematography to capture smooth, immersive movements that enhance the dreamlike atmosphere.
Dialogue was recorded using ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) for clarity and control, while green screen
elements were subtly integrated to extend and manipulate
visual environments. Produced in association with Monash University, the project benefited from industry-standard
equipment and facilities, supporting a professional-grade production from concept to post.
Somnium (Latin for "dream") explores the blurred line between reality and illusion through a looping narrative where the protagonist drifts between a vivid dreamscape and waking life — leaving the audience questioning what’s real and what isn’t.
